Ship Breaker Paolo Bacigalupi
Publisher: Little, Brown Books for Young Readers

Ship Breaker, also by Paolo Bacigalupi will sorely disappoint you. Ship Breaker (2010) is a young adult, post-apocalyptic, science fiction novel from Paolo Bacigalupi. Premise: In America's Gulf Coast region, grounded oil tankers are being broken down for parts by crews of young people. The titular character is Nailer, a teenager who lives (barely) and works (hard) on one of the polluted coasts of North America. Ship Breaker by Paolo Bacigalupi Brilliance Audio, 2010. Ship Breaker: not quite what I hoped for. Ship Breaker tells the story of Nailer and his struggle to survive in the cruel and unforgiving world of Bright Sands Beach. Ship Breaker, Paolo Bacigalupi. I reviewed SHIP BREAKER earlier today, and now I'd like to introduce Author Paolo Bacigalupi and welcome him to Presenting Lenore for a Dystopian August interview. Paolo Bacigalupi's Ship Breaker continues his exploration of post-scarcity economics which underpins part of The Windup Girl. Ship Breaker by Paolo Bacigalupi. €Killing always costs.” (“Ship Breaker” 317). Ship Breaker (Ship Breaker, #1) Ship Breaker by Paolo Bacigalupi My rating: 4 of 5 stars. I know, I know, it's been too long, but I finally have a few good ideas about what to listen to in the world of YA lit. I really enjoyed The Wind Up Girl. A fascinating, unique world unlike any other I have visited! I know there are problems with it, and a lot of people have taken it apart, and I agree with at least some of those points. This book review will be of an award-winning, young adult novel, “Ship Breaker,” by Paolo Bacigalupi.
